ABOUT ME

I’m like a river that flows in plains and makes a land lush green. The only difference in reality is colors are the water and plains are canvas where I create magic.    

It makes me happy to see my eclectic work being noticed in the art world, and contemporary work being appreciated by the art fraternity. It is important to balance the duality of the being and I strive to bring a perfect balance to it in my paintings. As much as acrylics beacon my creative juices, there is a strong fascination in me for sketching architectural monuments, particularly from the Romanesque and Gothic periods.

I have reinvented myself as an artist many times over; however, abstraction remains my strong love because of the freedom they deliver.

As a contemporary artist, abstractionism of Rothko inspire me, and it becomes apparent in my work. I’m also influenced by Malevich, Richter and Kandinsky, and my work involves a variety of experimentation with various techniques (acrylic, oil pastels, mixed media, water color, charcoal). 

The sheer depth of texture and richness of colors create an interesting sense of play to excite multi-sensory organs, which gratifies the viewer.
